A drain clog is one of the most common sink issues. Daily use can lead to grease, fat, food scraps, and other items clogging up the drain. A blockage should never be addressed with a chemical drain cleaner. It can corrode and damage pipes. Also, avoid filling the garbage disposal with fatty or greasy substances, bones, coffee grounds, eggshells, fibrous vegetables, or paper products.
Trained in our own training center, our plumbers have the knowledge and tools to clear clogged drains and determine the nature and location of the problem. They can use more sophisticated methods to clear stubborn clogs or repair the drain line.
Sometimes the pipes underneath your sink can leak. The problem can be hard to identify. If you store items under the sink, take a quick look around to check the condition of the pipes. They may look simple to fix. However, don’t try it yourself as one tiny mistake can result in much worse damage.
Instead of dealing with a burst pipe or damage that would require replacing the entire line, call a plumber. Experienced technicians can quickly identify a problem and determine the best and fastest way to fix it.
A drop in water pressure can be caused by a dirty faucet head, which you can clean yourself. The aerator may also need to be cleaned. After removing it, clean the part with white vinegar and a rag. Mineral deposits can also cause low water pressure; a plumber can help if this is the case.
However, not every water pressure issue is easy to resolve. The problem may be with a water supply valve; perhaps someone moved it accidentally. Otherwise, the valve may be old or damaged; a plumber can install a new one. If there’s a pipe issue, only a professional can clear mineral buildup or debris, repair the pipe, or replace it.
